Great overview of Marketing, or I should say Internet Marketing Trends for 2007. The 7 trends according to Rohit are:
1. Sharing a Corporate Personality
2. Widget Marketing
3. Social Media Optimization
4. AutoTagging and AutoSorting
5. Human Filtered Search
6. Contentcasting
7. Online Identity Shifting
Note the trend #5 - “Human filtered search”. Another name for what I called “wiki-based” search in previous post. Great article.

Thanks for the comment, Ivan - glad you liked the article. The new development of Wikia is definitely going to be interesting as we start to see new ways for people to help other people sift through loads of content online with something other than Google and the almighty algorithm. Wiki-based search gets really interesting when you also combine it with efforts like Wikimapia which are broadening the perception of wikis online beyond Wikipedia and defining much more than just encyclopaedic terms.
