Through Imagining the Future of Leadership, a symposium at the Harvard Business School expert thinkers gathered to investigate what is necessary today to develop the leaders we need for tomorrow. According to them, these are the biggest mistakes a leaders can make:

- Putting their own interest ahead the organization’s interests
- Betraying trust
- Being certain
- Not living up to their values
- Getting caught up in becoming absolutely completely obsessed with his/her vision
- Arrogance
- Acting too fast
- Not being authentic and consistent
- Not being self-reflective
