    Ah, this is actually one of the really interesting MS stories. Remember it used be this massive hulking table, now it’s only 4″ thick. The next version should be even nicer. So let’s see: if MS wants to project Windows on the wall, and control it with Kinect, and have MS Windows on flat surfaces with this ‘Surface’ technology.

    There’s just one little tiny problem: the software that runs on those devices better not be Windows 7, because that doesn’t have a good touch interface.

    It seems that Ballmer just wants to sell Windows forever (as Gates did), but that strategy has pretty much bombed in non-PC devices. So next year they’ll show us Windows 8 which should have a more iPhone-y like UI for tablets, and THAT, I think, is more like what you might see on a Consumer oriented Surface.
